In August 2000 the first YES Discussion List was launched called Youth for YES2002 by the youth members of YES. By August 2001 it evolved into a highly interactive list and was handed to "Mandate the Future" to moderate. They did an extraordinary job and successfully engaged youth and other stakeholders and created a sense of community among all the members in preparation for the Alexandria Summit.

The YES Discussion List provides an important forum for dialogue and action for youth employment. Currently over 2,000 members -- 80 percent of them youth -- are discussing and exchanging ideas on effective practices, themes and the 6Es.
