The Youth Employment Summit (YES) Mexico 2004 will be held in, Boca del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico, from October 4 - 7, 2004. It will be the YES Campaign's first Milestone Event, bringing together diverse stakeholders from youth organizations, governments and NGO's as well as leaders in academia.

It will be hosted by the government of Mexico. Strategies will be reviewed within the context of the YES Framework for Action; successful programs, policies, and projects will be highlighted and shared among Summit delegates. YES Mexico 2004 will be an important milestone for evaluating global progress on youth employment.

  • Using information and communications technology to provide youth employment oppurtunities
  • Youth Employment in Agriculture and the Informal Sector
  • Youth Employment in Challenging Environments
  • Enhancing the Employability of Youth
  • The Role of Media in focussing attention on youth employment
  • Leadership and Networking to promote youth employment
  • Promoting Youth Employment at Grassroots Level
  • The Role of the Public Sector in Promoting Youth Employment
  • The Role of International Development: Aid in Promoting Youth Employment programs

    A "State of YES Campaign Report 2004" will be released assessing the impact of the Campaign.
