NIIT Joins Hands With YES For Employment Promotion
HYDERABAD, DEC 19:  NIIT Ltd, engaged in the IT education, software services and training areas, will incubate setting up of YES (Youth Employment Summit) centre at its development centre in New Delhi for the promotion of youth employment.

With a strong commitment towards youth educational training and jobs opportunities, NIIT will help Hyderabad-based YES Academy to have a centre at its development centre in Delhi in a bid to facilitate developing programmes, projects for the youths apart from helping them to get assistance for their growth, said Mr P Rajendran, director and chief operating officer, NIIT Ltd.

Addressing a press conference on the occasion of five-day ‘Youth Employment Summit’ here on Thursday, Mr Rajendran said that NIIT, as part of its commitment towards youths, will help YES centre to chalk out programmes for the youths at a national and global level.

NIIT has carved a niche for iteself in the IT education business and this new initiative is in line with NIIT’s objective to help youths to achieve goals in information technology and other fields. NIIT is proud to be associated with YES for a social cause.

"We will help the YES Centre to draw a national network, which will enable the youths to get access to all the networks, internet and will enable them to be part of the global developments," he said.

Currently, there are four persons on the project from the YES side, and one hopes that more and more corporates will extend their support for a social cause of this nature, he added.

The motto of the centre would be towards 6 E’s - employment, employability, equity, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and empowerment.

This campaign has been supporting processes that seek the networking of youth throughout the world and the sharing of information to empower youth to take charge of their own destinies.
