Ministers of Youth and Ministers of Labor together with Ministerial
Delegations from 71 countries participated in the Alexandria
Youth Employment Summit 2002.

Forum.
This significant component of the Alexandria Youth Employment Summit provided a platform for dialogue on the core thematic areas and regional strategies.
Outcomes of the Ministerial Forum included:
- Development and adoption of The
Alexandria Declaration. This is the first time
Ministers have developed and committed to a summit declaration
unanimously.
- Ministers promised to commitment to collaboration between government, civil society organizations, the private sector, international development agencies and youth in the launch of a Decade Campaign of Action and promote Youth Employment.
- Ministers met with YES Country Networks and various stakeholders at the Summit (where possible)
- Some Ministers provided brief papers on successful youth employment strategies in their country . These papers were printed and distributed to all Ministers as background information for the deliberations
- Ministers initiated discussions on government policies, practices, and innovations.
